About the Academy
Welcome to the Quality Teaching Academy
The Quality Teaching Academy empowers teachers to enrich student learning.
We provide evidence-backed professional development, advocate for the profession, and support a community of teachers through a shared vision of quality teaching for every student, every day.
As a non-profit organisation, all proceeds are invested directly into rigorous research undertaken in partnership with the University of Newcastle’s Teachers & Teaching Research Centre, to continuously develop fresh insights that support the profession.
We understand the complex work of teachers and respect teachers’ ongoing commitment to analysing and refining their practice. Many of our staff members are themselves experienced and practising teachers. They work alongside, and in partnership with, our leading researchers, to create solutions that are driven by evidence, results and a genuine understanding of the profession.
Our professional development suite offers a range of opportunities, from short webinars to tailored whole school support. Our flagship program, Quality Teaching Rounds, is a teacher-led approach that respects participants as experts in their own classrooms. Our membership program provides access to comprehensive digital resources, free webinars, discounts on professional development and exclusive support from our QTA specialists.
Our research and services are based on the nationally recognised Quality Teaching Model. Developed by Associate Professor James Ladwig with founder of the Quality Teaching Academy, Laureate Professor Jenny Gore, this revolutionary way of understanding and refining pedagogy has already changed the way thousands of Australian teachers think and feel about their practice.
We invite you to be a part of the Quality Teaching Academy. Together, we can enhance the learning of students across the globe through the work of teachers who are more connected, more supported, and more inspired.
