What does the evidence tell us about the role collaborative professional learning can play in strengthening teacher induction?

Join Distinguished Laureate Professor Jenny Gore AM as she shares more than two decades of research into the impact of the Quality Teaching Model and Quality Teaching Rounds (QTR) on teachers, teaching practice and school culture. Research has shown that participation in QTR strengthens teacher efficacy, builds confidence in practice, enhances professional relationships, and contributes to improved wellbeing, reduced burnout, and stronger teacher retention.

You’ll also hear from Nick Ward, Deputy Principal at Moruya High School, who will share his school’s experience participating in the Strengthening Induction through Quality Teaching Rounds project and the practical impact QTR has had on teachers at every stage of their careers.

The Strengthening Induction project is a four-year partnership between the Australian Government and the University of Newcastle, providing 1,600 teachers with the opportunity to participate in the QTR professional development program at no cost.

Now in its final year, the project has a limited number of funded places remaining. Join this information session to learn more about the project, hear the evidence behind its impact, and find out how your school can get involved while funded places remain.
