Welcome to the QT Academy
A near decade-long vision of supporting teachers deliver quality teaching for every student, every day was realised when the QT Academy was launched in October 2020.
The QT Academy delivers high-impact, evidence-based professional development that aims to empower teachers to empower each other.
The QT Academy was founded by Laureate Professor Jenny Gore with colleagues from the University of Newcastle’s Teachers and Teaching Research Centre. As a for-impact non-profit social enterprise, our proceeds are used to support the rigorous education research undertaken by the TTRC.
We understand the complex work of teachers and respect teachers’ ongoing commitment to analysing and refining their practice. Our QTR Advisers are all experienced and practising teachers. They work alongside our leading researchers, to create solutions that are driven by evidence, results and a genuine understanding of the profession.
Our professional development programs range from short webinars to masterclasses, hands-on workshops to tailored whole school support. Our flagship program, Quality Teaching Rounds, is a teacher-led approach that respects educators as experts in their own classrooms.
Since we launched, more than 3,200 teachers from more than 1,200 schools have participated in QTR. And more than 2,300 teachers and school leaders have signed up as members of the QT Academy.
Our membership program provides access to comprehensive digital resources, free webinars, discounts on professional development and exclusive support from our QTR specialists.
