This workshop is for teachers and leaders who have attended the two-day QTR workshop in the past 3 years and/or who have participated in a set of Quality Teaching Rounds using the Quality Teaching Model to observe, code and discuss lessons.

It is designed to provide teachers familiar with the Quality Teaching Model with the opportunity to observe, analyse and engage in extended discussions of classroom practice with other teachers and workshop facilitators. Participants will deepen their knowledge of the QTM and explore strategies for enhancing teaching more broadly.

  • Enhancing lesson quality through QT – what are the implications more broadly?
  • Quality Teaching Model refresher
  • Analysing a lesson: observation, coding, PLC discussion and extended plenary
  • Enhancing classroom practice
  • Professional Reading discussion: The Quest for Better Teaching (J. Gore, 2020)
