20 years of QT PD giveaway
QTR professional development giveaway
We are celebrating 20 years of the QT Model by offering one free place per school at a Quality Teaching Rounds (QTR) Foundational workshop in Term 3, 2023.
This special offer will be available for the first 200 schools Australia-wide to register.
2023 marks 20 years since the QT Model was developed by University of Newcastle researchers, Associate Professor James Ladwig and Laureate Professor Jenny Gore. It has been used by thousands of teachers in that time. You can check out the journey of the QT Model here.

Celebrate with a free QTR workshop
QTR is high impact professional development based on the QT Model. Rigorous research shows that participation in QTR improves the quality of teaching, teacher morale and student academic achievement in mathematics and reading.
To access your free ticket, you must be a teacher at a school that has not previously completed QTR and register for a workshop that takes place before 30 September 2023.
Our event registration system will automatically apply your free pass if your school is eligible. If you have any issues registering, please get in touch.
While our research recommends at least two teachers per school attend the workshop, this special offer provides a chance for interested schools to try QTR for free without any ongoing commitment.
All face-to-face and online QTR Foundational workshops in Term 3 are available as part of this offer and you can find the full schedule here.
Ensuring equitable access – school holiday workshop
We established QTR Digital as a way of supporting teachers wherever they teach to engage in this high impact professional learning. However, we know that many teachers in small schools or remote schools who have wanted to do QTR haven’t been able to due to casual access and other challenges.
In recognition of these challenges facing schools, we have set up a workshop during the upcoming school holidays on 10-11 July. We also believe that school holidays are time that teachers need and deserve to recharge, take stock and plan for the term ahead, so we are genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts on whether holiday workshops should be part of our usual offering. Please feel free to email us with your thoughts.
